mayen is a very unselfish caker whom i met online.... she'd been sharing her knowledge in caking for years now. this is one of the many things i learned from her tutorials online.
there are 4 basic shapes in fondant figure making...
one is ball shape, which you can either use for the head
second is the cone shape, which is usually use for the body
third is the log or sausage, for the legs and arms
and fourth, the teardrop, which you may use for the feet, and hands, etc...
