Yasmin & Aladin in Love

it's Valentine's day today, and my heart is beating quite faster than it used to be! it seemed to be saying, fall in love again and again. woke up by my husband's kiss today, got enough reason why i should be : )

so to remember that love is not love unless it is shared, i have Aladin & Yasmin to show you!

Aladin: "Rose for you, my dearest Yasmin!"

Yasmin: "That's so sweet of you, my Aladin!"

Aladin: "I hope to be holding hands with you forever, my love..."

"We will, my love..."
Give love not only on special days, but everyday!

roses for mami!!

my son woke up early as usual and to my surprise, gave me these roses... saying " Happy Valentine's Day, Mama! " though the roses are not in the best condition, i do still love them! he said he forgot to put it in a vase with water ; ) and hid it inside his room.

Happy Valentine's Day, Everyone!

Cinderella...

It's half past midnight and i'm making a cinderella : )

since this is just a try, i used styro for the stairs.
it is quite narrow, i know... but for now,  but it will do.
i first made a gown support using a piece of hardened fondant
which i attached to the stairs... then cut pieces of skirts and glued it to the lower body...

attached the body with a cocktail stick and glued it on place.

almost complete.. but it's already half past 1am...got to sleep now, folks..

cinderella dear, now you've to wait....

early today, i started to give some pink colors to cinderella's gown.... pure white is not bad but a touch of pink on the laces will add highlight to the gown...

my scallops and pleatings are not yet perfect but i'm quite happy with it...

she seems to be lost... poor princess!

you'll still have to wait for the eyes and lashes, my dear princess...
i still can't figure out how i'll do it...

Once upon a time there lived an unhappy young girl named Cinderella....
Cinderella had a wonderful time at the ball until she heard the first stroke of midnight! She remembered what the fairy had said, and without a word of goodbye she slipped from the Prince's arms and ran down the steps. As she ran she lost one of her slippers, but not for a moment did she dream of stopping to pick it up! If the last stroke of midnight were to sound... oh! what a disaster that would be!
Out she fled and vanished into the night.

blue girl pixie...

now, i want to make something cute...
so i turned to the page of the pixie teahouse cake...

prepare the body parts...

assemble using edible glue...
use pasta stick or cocktail stick to attach heavy body parts..

some finishing touches...

need a mirror to see if my lashes are okay...

i'm lovely now, right??

sexy hexe... life of a witch!

it has been snowing in Vienna for almost 2 weeks now... the sorrounding seems to be all gray and brown... trees standing with no leaves at all, seem to be all tired and dead...
all gloomy and dark, wanna give a bit of color to this place!
so i decided to re-create the witch on debbie's book "enchanted cakes"...
to add life and enchant the place...

first, i prepared every parts and let them dry a bit...
again, using fondant with CMC as modelling paste.

assembled witch still sitting to dry a bit...

see those warts? :( how i wish vicky belo is not that far away...
my magic broom is too old to fly that far...

now, ready for take-off!

weeeeeeeeeeeeh! i love to fly!!

i'm so happy being a witch!!!

ube cake for debbie...

on our 2nd day of class with debbie brown, i decided to bring a tiny cake for us to have for afternoon merienda... hoping that she'll like the cake! to my surprise, she didn't only like it, she wanted another cake for the next class! sweet : )

i did the topper during the beetle love class...

named the ragdaoll after her...

thanks a lot, she tasted the ube cake! : )

gel colors...

When i attended debbie brown's class last january, i learned a lot of things about cake decorating and fondant figure making... also, how to mix colors to achieve a different hue...

chefmaster gel color is the one i'm using ever since...
then, got to buy a set of wilton gel colors...
luster dusts
 and powder dust....
and now, i found out that SUGARFLAIR has the best gel colors... wanna complete my set of Sugarflair gel colors, but i'm thinking of using up what i still have and just buy what i really need for the moment... they are not so unexpensive, my dear.
